Herzog Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Division Safety Manager in Fort Worth, TX. HTI is developing industry-leading products and is at the forefront of Positive Train Control.  The position requires decision making and problem-solving skills. The candidate must be able to meet deadlines and contribute to a positive, safe, high-quality culture. This position will administer and maintain all regulatory and Company safety and health programs to provide a safe working environment. This is a hands-on position with extensive time spent in the field. The Division Safety Manager is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the Division Safety Program including the development of site safety policies and procedures. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development, implementation, and application of system safety plans, processes, and procedures
  • Lead, develop, maintain, and implement safety plans and procedures including training, documentation, reporting, and analysis
  • Ensuring compliance with agency and HTI safety plans and documents
  • Establishing procedures and guidelines for HTI safety & health programs
  • Evaluating FRA, FTA, and OSHA regulations and preparing revisions to procedures and plans
  • Reviewing accident/incident and Injury reports as required and providing recommendations to prevent reoccurrence
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Must be at last 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED Required (Degree Preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate good organizational and communication skills
  • Railroad Construction industry experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of construction safety, current Federal State OSHA requirements is a must
  • Ability to travel regularly is required
  • Training/experience with OSHA safety related requirements and practices
  • Training/experience with 49 CFR Parts 200-299 safety related requirements
  • Safety, security and training experience (3+ years)


Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
  • Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position
  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
